Every Tuesday we look inside remittances. Today's question for anyone sending money home: in what currency, and through which channel, does the family get paid? According to tables from the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD), from January to September 2026, 49.58 % of family remittances received were paid out in Dominican pesos and 50.41 % in US dollars.
